Parent University - is a school-wide event program, focused on student team building exercises and parent education. The first goal of this program is to get parents engaged in their child’s current and future educational track. The student can only participate in the team building exercises and give-a-ways if one of their parents attends the event. The parents will be separated from their child for two-hours receiving important information regarding such topics as: internet safety, library services, health services, school attendance etc. During this time all students will be participating in Team Building stations that will require them to work together to achieve success and receive prizes. The exercises will require students that would not ordinarily speak or interact to forge relationships and get to know each other, consequently, reducing future conflicts.
At the end of the night everyone will be brought together for the raffling of large door prizes.
