As the temperature gets hotter, so does LaunchPad programming.
We are underway in the next and final phase of programming that will take place at Dobie Middle School under the LaunchPad flag. We began on Monday morning, and have already had a blast with the kids, and are expectant of a lot more fun and activities as the days go on.
The students that are participating in summer LaunchPad were the star pupils of our semester programming. “I’m excited about the group of students we have, they are all good kids,” said Chris Lopez, LaunchPad Program Director.
The students have been participating in a variety of things, from playing dodgeball and soccer, to teaming up and playing video games, even creating amazing art journals during Creative Action class.
Looking ahead, LaunchPad will be concluding the month with a week of field trips. “We are so excited for the field trips. Meeting the mayor will be an awesome opportunity for the students to meet esteem people in our city,” said Lopez. “It will be nice to end programming at Dobie with something memorable.”
