Partnering with Girl Scouts and NOWTX to Protect Texas Youth

At LaunchPad The Center, we are committed to creating safe, supportive environments where young people can grow, lead, and thrive. Advocacy plays a critical role in that mission, especially when it comes to protecting children and strengthening the systems that impact their futures. This work goes beyond conversation—it requires action, collaboration, and sustained commitment from leaders across our communities.

Recently, we had the opportunity to stand alongside a dedicated group of women who are actively working to advocate for policies that protect children across Texas. This effort brought together community leaders, advocates, and policymakers who share a common goal: ensuring that every child has access to safety, support, and opportunity. We are especially grateful for the leadership of Andrea Sparks, whose tireless advocacy continues to move this work forward, as well as Caroline Harris Davila for sponsoring legislation that reflects this shared vision.

Throughout this effort, we witnessed the power of collaboration and purpose-driven leadership. Conversations centered around meaningful policy change, community responsibility, and the importance of creating systems that protect and uplift youth. These moments reinforced the importance of showing up—not only in support, but in partnership—with those who are working daily to create lasting change.

This work matters deeply to us. At LaunchPad, we have heavily supported this mission because we understand that protecting children is foundational to building stronger communities. When young people feel safe and supported, they are better positioned to pursue education, develop leadership

skills, and access the opportunities they deserve.
